Welcome to our site! Here at Japanese-Cards.com, most new cards appear as a single picture on their product pages, generally in Near Mint state. However, please keep in mind that even freshly opened cards may, at times, show small issues like faint scratches, minor white spots, or slight cut lines.

We still make sure to handle these cards carefully to minimize damage as much as possible. For cards with clearer defects, we will set up its own product page so you know they have defects. We often show these cards against a dark background to emphasize any damage. We might also outline flaws on older cards to be completely clear about what you're buying.

If you're still not sure, you're always welcome to request additional photos at support@japanese-cards.com.

Our cards are sorted by widely recognized standards:

  • Near Mint: The card looks almost perfect but might have a very small scratch, a little white mark, or a tiny edge flaw visible without magnification.
  • Excellent: This card is still in good condition but has noticeable minor defects, such as small white dots on a black border, light edge or wear marks, somewhat frayed corners, or a few scratches visible in certain light.
  • Good: This card has clear white marks on its edges, evident scuffing, or noticeable dents on corners and edges.
  • Played: These cards show significant wear, with edges almost entirely white, and the text or image might be quite faded. They often have many small damages and visible dirt.

Our cards vary in condition from Near Mint to Excellent, based on the card and how old it is. For any card that isn't in Near Mint or Excellent shape, we make sure to provide detailed pictures so you can see exactly what you're getting.

Please note that we don't sell cards with the aim of them being graded, so we can't guarantee they'll get the perfect scores of 10/10 or 9/10. Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out this info. If you've got any questions or just want to see more pictures, don't hesitate to reach out to us via email.
